This lipsticks will not be for everyone. They are very matte in finish and properly set after a few minutes so they feel quite dry. This is why they don't move but if you're not used to it or don't like the feel of a lipstick then you'll find them uncomfortable to wear.
Doe's foot applicator makes this very easy to apply and it is genuinely very smooth. It does stain the lip a bit, again this is why it lasts so long, so if you get it on the skin around your lips while applying you need to fix it asap. Though this matte texture feels dry on the lips it isn't as drying as you'd imagine.
If you want the longevity without the matte finish then once this has set you can put a gloss over the top though this may compromise exactly how long the lipstick will last.
I actually really love the packaging too. You can see how much product is in the tube, the applicator works well and the lid twists and clicks shut so there's no way it could undo itself in your bag. It's incredibly lightweight and hardly takes up any room.
I have three colours - Ballet, Rose and Raven (shown top to bottom in the picture above) and I'd love to add Riviera, Muse, Edition and Canvas to that. I don't wear these all that often. But when I want a statement lipstick that isn't going to budge this is the only one I reach for.
