Firstly, and without wanting to go into too much detail as I want to do a whole piece on the Ilia as a brand separately, it's so nice to find a cruelty free, ethical, green brand that makes good products. The packaging is lovely, doesn't feel cheap and is in fact very similar to another high end brand, but it uses recycled aluminium. And the products that I've tried are genuinely great to the extent that I'd recommend the brand to anyone even the products I haven't tried out yet. But more on those to follow over the next couple of months. I believe that the tinted lip conditioners were the first product launched by Ilia so it feels right that these my first product review from the brand.
I was sent Nobody's Baby (a 'perfect sheer nude') to try and I love it. It's quite pale but perfect for when you want the ultimate no fuss nude lip. And in fact has a kind of modern '60s feel to it. You will need to reapply this throughout the day - the fact that it is so conditioning to the lip means I tend to rub them together a lot which doesn't help the longevity. But it does last pretty well and just feels so amazing on the lips.
You can mix these colours to make up your own colour or build these up to be as intense as you want. But what I love is that I just have this in my handbag or pocket. On it's own. No mirror. And just put it on like you would a colourless lip balm and it looks fantastic. If you are someone who hates the feel of a regular lipstick but craves a bit more colour than your usual balm then give this a try.
Next to try are Bombora, Shell Shock, Crimson and Clover and In Paradise. I want them all. They are that good.
