Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser - you can see a little leaking out |
One great thing about it is that although it has an SPF of 20 it doesn't flash back in photos so it's great for using on brides who don't want or need a lot on their skin. It is easy to use, evens out skin tone and is really completely weightless. The change in climate made me a bit spotty in South Africa and this tinted moisturiser managed to cover them pretty well (I did use a concealer) but didn't aggravate them further.
It all sounds perfect and it so nearly is. There was really only one problem - it leaked. Not majorly, it wasn't a massive cleaning catastrophe but the pressure of the plane seemed to have an odd effect on it and it now continuously leaks into it's lid, even now we're back. This isn't too bad but it's quite annoying, a few times it's seeped out of the lid a bit and I've had to have a small clean up but I do feel like it's a bit of a waste and it's a little frustrating.
However, that is probably a one off problem with my particular tube and doesn't really take away from the fact that this was the only coverage I needed on holiday (I took a foundation with me in case I needed it... I didn't). It's not cheap at £34 but you don't need very much and I think it's worth the money. If you do have dark circles, breakouts or redness you will need to use a concealer with it but very often you need to use concealers with foundations too.
